WHAT IS LANGUAGE JUSTICE?
Language Justice refers to a person’s fundamental right to transmit and receive information in the
language they feel more comfortable speaking in a given context. This ensures that their voice is heard and understood, and that they can fully participate and lead spaces they are involved in.

LANGUAGE JUSTICE
LEAGUE
AfroResistance strongly believes in the fundamental right any individual has to access
and share information in the language they feel most comfortable with in any given context. We are especially committed to creating access for the Black and Black indigenous communities of the region, so they can fully participate in and lead the spaces they are involved in.
Our Language Justice League is a group of interpreters and translators who are passionate about
helping organizations that strive for racial justice and liberation to create multilingual spaces where
every voice feels represented and heard.
